Starting late 2023, 30A will be closed at Deer Lake for a full bridge construction (see map below for closure area). While an official start date has yet to be announced, construction is anticipated to be started in late October, or early November this year. When Walton County has finalized a start date for this project, signs and message boards will erected all over 30A giving the public a two weeks notice.

This project is expected to take anywhere from 6-8 months to complete.

How To Get Around 30A Road Closure
Unfortunately for golf cart users there will be no work around during construction. Golf Cart traffic during construction will be very limited. However, if you do have access to a vehicle you will be able to access all of 30A’s beach communities via Highway 98.
