When should I charge my golf cart?

When should I charge my golf cart?

The optimal time to charge your golf cart is simply when you’re not using it. If you’re heading inside for the night or if there’s going to be a few hours of downtime during the day, take that opportunity to plug in and recharge.

By taking advantage of downtime to recharge, you’ll always be ready for your next adventure.

How do I Charge my Golf Cart?

Charging your golf cart is a straightforward process. All of our premium lithium electric golf carts come equipped with a black charging cord and an extension cord. These cords can be found underneath the front seats.

To charge your golf cart, simply flip up the cover of the black socket that is located on the last row of forward-facing seats, on the left-hand side, and plug in the provided black charging cord.

Next, connect the other end of the charging cord to an extension cord. Finally, plug the extension cord into a regular 110-volt electrical outlet.

Just like charging your phone, you can charge your Street Legal Golf Cart anywhere you have access to a regular electrical outlet.

I didn’t bring any cords, how do I charge my Golf Cart?

There’s no need for concern if you didn’t bring any cords with you. When you rent a Street Legal Golf Cart from us, you don’t have to worry about providing your own extension cord. We’ve got you covered.

Included in your rental, you’ll receive a black charging cord and an extension cord. The extension cord can range anywhere from 15 to 30 feet in length. This means you have approximately 35 feet of charging distance when you rent a golf cart from Street Legal Golf Cart Rentals.

That’s plenty of length to ensure your golf cart can reach an outlet and stay charged up for your use.

If you still can’t reach an outlet you can always contact us at 850-737-1046 and we can run you an extra extension cord.

What if my Vacation Rental Doesn’t Have Any Outlets

At Street Legal golf cart rentals we try our hardest to find out where you’re staying before we rent you a golf cart.

Many renters are often staying in condo complexes. However, it’s important to note that numerous condos in Destin and 30A have strict rules against charging golf carts, or they may have limited access to electrical outlets.

So, before you book a golf cart rental, it’s beneficial to double-check the rules of your accommodation. We’re here to assist you and provide suggestions based on your specific situation.

If you’re staying in a home that doesn’t have any outdoor outlets, don’t worry. Although your residence may lack outdoor outlets, you can likely reach an indoor one. Simply plug the cart into the nearest outlet accessible from the outside.

If that doesn’t work, or you find you can’t reach an outlet, don’t hesitate to contact us. If necessary, we can provide you with a second extension cord to ensure your golf cart can be properly charged.

How long does it take for my Golf Cart to charge?

Charging one of our lithium electric golf carts usually takes around three to four hours. Most of our Electric Golf Carts – about 85% – come with a lithium 100x battery pack.

When fully charged, this battery gives you a range of 27 to 30 miles.

Even better, if the battery isn’t completely drained, it can get back up to around 80% in just an hour, and reach a full charge in three to four hours.

However, if you do run the battery all the way down, you might need to wait 5 to 6 hours for a full charge. If you happen to rent one of our golf carts with a 150x or 200x battery, charging could take up to 8 hours.

Honestly, the best way to keep charging times short is to avoid draining the battery completely. We suggest that you park up when you’re down to about three bars left on the battery indicator.
